Hey, I’m Joaquim — a photographer shaped by a life that’s moved across continents, from São Paulo to Brussels, the Midwest, Pennsylvania, and now Oregon. That mix of places has given me an adaptable eye, drawn to the subtleties of place, people, and the stories they tell.

My work spans nature, editorial projects, and portraiture. With eight years behind the camera and a background in environmental science, I’m often thinking about memory, impermanence, and how people relate to place. Whether I’m hiking through remote trails or shooting in the middle of a city, I’m always chasing connection and seeking to savor the process as much as the final image.
